SXSW 2013!
So, this will be my fourth time making the trip to Austin for the ever growing overly insane sxsw festival. I’m super excited this time around. Playing a bunch of “showcases” with my friends and hopefully I can rub elbows with the right folks while I’m down there too.

Here is a rough estimate of my schedule while down there. I know there is at least a couple other gigs I’m waiting to confirm as well. Stay tuned!

Show Announcement!
So the homie Open Mike Eagle is touring in support of his new record “4NML HSPTL” and he was kind enough to invite me to play the Minneapolis date on August 5th at 7th St Entry. Should be an awesome show. Hope to see YOU there.

So, I am very excited to announce this first video from my new record “Werewolf Hologram” which comes out February 28th. We blew a tire in IL on our way to the east coast and almost didn’t make it in time for this shoot. A two day shoot turned into one. But who cares I think the exhaustion and stress helped make for a focused piece of work. There is quite a little back story about the song too, but I’ll wait to share that with ya. Enjoy and please share!

About

Ecid is a kamikaze visionary: an artist with an all or nothing approach to every aspect of his art and life. Ambitious almost to a fault with an “us against them” DIY mentality, Ecid has self-booked, self released, and self-made his own movement. Ecid doesn’t try to sell you on any one way of life, he only sells you on the idea that you can live however you want. A Minneapolis native and a participant in the Twin Cities hip hop scene since 2003, all three of Ecid’s most recent releases have charted on the College Music Journal’s Hip Hop Top 40 chart. Collaborating with the likes of Eyedea, Awol One, and Kristoff Krane along the way, his smashing new album, Werewolf Hologram, is destined to make even bigger waves.
